An introduction on how herbalists can create a safe space and understanding when working with those who have experienced trauma. This class will include ways to approach topics, what not to say, important thoughts to consider in order to not cause more harm, and herbs to support one who needs help.

This class is for intermediate/advanced herb students and clinicians - not beginners. This class is also part of/included in the Advanced Series and 2025 Advanced Health Concerns Series.

Amy Branum, RH (AHG), AHP, FHP, is an herbalist who has been working with the plants for over 20 years. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology, focusing on botany, from the University of North Carolina- Asheville, and began her herbal studies at the North Carolina School of Natural Medicine. In 2015, she graduated from the California College of Ayurveda as an Ayurvedic Practitioner.

She is currently a Registered Herbalist with the American Herbalist Guild, and through life experiences, has directed a large focus towards working with trauma. 

Amy has a wellness consultation practice and is the director and teacher at her herbal school, The Northern California School of Botanical Studies, www.schoolofbotanicalstudies.com, based out of Sacramento, CA.
