Registration ($620... or $445-495 if you opt out of certain remedy options) includes:
- $495 for in-person attendance, herb walks, all online materials, optional passed samples of herbs, tea tastings, 1-year American Herbalists Guild student membership, various series student discounts to local and national herb shops, farms, and booksellers

The Home Herbalist Series
Empower yourself in herbal medicine with Maria's Home Herbalist Series. In these nine classes, you'll learn the core body systems, primary medicinal remedies, and key concepts in herbal medicine as well as a slew of important herbs. Each class covers a body system and at least one remedy, with a few other topics speckled in throughout the series. For each body system, you'll learn how it works, how things get out of balance, and how to use herbs, diet, and lifestyle changes to bring it back into balance. Common health concerns will also be covered, from the cold and flu to PMS to indigestion and acid reflux.

About the In-Person Classroom Format:
Take part in the dynamic environment in the Wintergreen Botanicals classroom and gardens located in Allenstown, New Hampshire, surrounded by Bear Brook State Park. Enjoy remedy making activities and demos with take home-home goodies in every class as well as camaraderie of your fellow classmates, plant swaps, and other special opportunities. If you're able to make the drive and commitment, it's worth it! Free 30-minute herb walks before selected classes. Access to all online materials included.
Certificates of completion available for live stream students who...
Attend at least 80% of live stream classes. You're expected to read all class notes and try the remedies we make in class. Homework is optional though encouraged.
Enjoy forever-access to online materials. There is no deadline to complete the remedy reports/homework to get your certificate.

Accessibility Disclaimer: Unfortunately this home-based classroom is NOT wheelchair accessible. There are stairs to get into the house no matter which door is used. The classroom access from the outside does have handrails. There are a few short stairs between the classroom and remedy activity and bathroom spaces, which do not have handrails. Students with mobility challenges may park in the driveway turn-around closer to the door; please notify Maria ahead of time. Students who cannot use stairs can reach out to Maria to discuss discounted online/live stream class options.
2024 COVID Protocols
- The classroom is indoors and tight quarters! There will be NO social distancing possible. Sorry!
- Vaccination is not required and is at the discretion of the individual. It's likely that the class will include a mix of vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals.
- Masking is not required (this is subject to change at any time at Maria's discretion). Maria will generally not be wearing a mask while teaching, though she reserves the right to do so at any time.
- Students are welcome to wear masks and opt out of passed tea/remedies if they’d like.
- DO NOT come to class if you are sick with any easily transmissible infection or testing positive for COVID. You can join us via live stream or catch the recording. If Maria is sick, we will either run the class live stream online and/or postpone.
- If you miss a class due to conflict or illness, you will have access to the live streamed class as well as online recordings/materials. We will try to make arrangements regarding any missed in-class remedies or fee credit but cannot guarantee.
- If all goes well tech-wise, our in-person classes will also be simultaneous live streamed. (Herb walks and other outdoor portions can’t be live streamed b/c there’s no internet outside.) In-person students may opt to attend via live stream instead of in person whenever you like.
