The BEYOND the Home Herbalist Series

Want to deepen your studies in herbal medicine? This series picks up where the Home Herbalist Series leaves off. Following a similar format, in these nine classes, you'll learn about additional body systems and common health concerns, how to make unique medicinal remedies, and key concepts in herbal medicine as well as a slew of important herbs. Each class covers a body system and at least one remedy. For each body system or health concern, you'll learn how the body should work, how things get out of balance, and how to use herbs, diet, and lifestyle changes to bring it back into balance. Common health concerns will also be covered, from the strong bones to brain health, chronic pain, to skin health.

About the Live Stream Format:
Bring the live classroom experience to your home anywhere in the world! Enjoy the interaction and accountability of regularly scheduled live online classes with lecture and remedy-making demos. Remedy kits included* with samples of dried herbs and other basic herbal ingredients to try select plants for each class topic and make various remedies. All classes are recorded and available to re-watch if you miss a class. Enjoy forever-access to all online materials. There is no deadline to complete homework.

Certificates of completion available for in person students who...
Attend at least 80% of in person classes. You're expected to read all class notes and try the remedies we make in class. Homework is optional though encouraged.

Enjoy forever-access to online materials. There is no deadline to complete the remedy reports/homework to get your certificate.

Accessibility Disclaimer: Unfortunately this home-based classroom is NOT wheelchair accessible. There are stairs to get into the house no matter which door is used. There is a steep hill from the main parking area and a few stairs without handrails to get into the classroom. (Students with limited mobility: Please email maria@wintergreenbotanicals.com to let us know if you require a spot in the limited parking closer to the classroom is available for students with limited mobility on request. You will still need to walk up a short incline and long-ish woodchip path to the stairs to enter the house/classroom - if you would like someone to escort you, please request in advance.)

2025 COVID/Germ + Missed Class Protocols

• The classroom is indoors and tight quarters! 
• DO NOT come to class if you are sick with any easily transmissible infection or testing positive for COVID. You can join us via live stream or catch the recording. If Maria is sick, we will either run the class live stream online and/or postpone.
• If you miss a class due to conflict or illness, you will have access to the live streamed class as well as online recordings/materials. We will try to make arrangements regarding any missed in-class remedies or fee credit but cannot guarantee.
• If all goes well tech-wise, our in-person classes will also be simultaneous live streamed. (Herb walks and other outdoor portions are not live streamed, but there are past herb walk video recordings in the course materials.
• In-person students may opt to attend via live stream instead of in person whenever you like.
• All classes are also recorded live each year and on-demand - you're welcome to access recorded class materials before or after class if you're unable to attend in person or if you simply want a refresher. No deadline to access recorded classes nor to submit homework.
• Your registration includes the ability to register for future Beyond the Home Herbalist Series live stream (NOT in person) series classes for free as often as you like.
